Good Vibe Cinema is a San Diego based production company in the business of good vibes and good times. Through Super 8 film, theatre, and a variety of live events, Good Vibe Cinema invites its audience to live a life where every moment feels like it was meant to be on the big screen.
The Team
Playwright. Performer. Producer. A cultivator of good vibes and a curator of good times. A lover of movies that feel like movies, of bold looks, big laughs, and larger than life characters. A Gemini with a passion for cool plants, smooth jams, long walks, and late talks. A soul with the overwhelming desire to always be creating and connecting, and the driving force behind Good Vibe Cinema.
In her work, executive producer Vic Terry explores the inherent theatricality of our existence, the complicated space where staging and raw emotion intersect, and the often blurred line between authenticity and performance. She is inspired by the juxtaposition of glamour and grime - by a twitchy neon sign that stands out against a striking desert skyline - and is fascinated with capturing both the humor in grief and the tragic heart of comic characters.
Classified as an "Old Soul." Medieval Period, dates unknown. Characterized by his mercurial intensity, firey passion, and rigorous devotion to the craft of Storytelling. Creatively, Michael is the Yin to Vic Terry's Yang. Both grow and flourish in each other's company. When it comes to his personal life, Michael is currently a student in the lifelong study of evasion.
Cassidy is a producer, poet, director, dancer, and so much more - an all around artist who brings her Gemini magic to anything that she takes part in. As the founder of Noble House Media, the frequent production partner of Good Vibe Cinema, she has played a key role in a wide variety of projects and events. She is the co-creator and star of 'FRANKIE' -a black and white Super 8 Film that premiered at Cinema Under the Stars on Halloween of 2023, the founder and facilitator of the artist's networking group Makers & Muses, and a co-creator and host of the San Diego Halloween Film Festival.
Armed with an arsenal of lethal instruments ready to groove the masses and light up the stage, Verdell Smith arrives on the scene exuding melodic, hypnotic tunes. Through the flavor that he brings to the table, we get a taste of an unimagined tomorrow with nostalgic glimmers of yesterday - music that circulates from the heart and crystallizes in the bones. It’s a laid back, magical love affair waiting to capture the instant attention of soulful beings yearning for a little more funk in their lives. Not only has Verdell composed and performed original scores for all of Good Vibe Cinema's films to date, his music is central to our Fringe show 'Desperate to be Seen, Horrified of Being Known: a Ghost Story' with his bass having become a character in its own right.
Tober has had more than 10 years of experience in the theatre world. She has appeared in multiple school and community productions before finding a passion for costuming and graduating from Grossmont College with a certificate in Theatre Arts. In addition to being an incredibly talented performer and vocalist, Tober brings the vibes behind the scenes and has brought to life many of the eclectic characters that make up the world of Good Vibe Cinema's productions – including as the titular character of 'BIG FEET' and all of the monsters in 'FRANKIE.'
